However, I offer no personal opinions about the status of either Zelensky or Putin here. I only relay what my complicated feelings would be upon news of Putin's death. Religious pacifism is not a question of strategy, but faith, and so the extent to which it "works" is really up to the proponent of it to decide, since it is a question of their own heart and obligations, not the external outcome of a given conflict.
There is a lot of war in the Bible. But there was also this guy, named Jesus, who argued for us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and to resist the depredations of Empire.
