"I want to say it's not who we are, but that would be wilfully ignoring our nation's history." THANK YOU 🙏

And then I read the rest of it. What a delicious repast, the love festival of graduation and reunion and community and family and choosing each other again and again because love is deep and rich and life is too short and I too live in fear of the gap between my heart's good fortune and the mass malice afoot here and in other nations. I don't know how to reconcile it. I think the true calculus is beyond human comprehension. At least I hope it is. I hope there is more to the universe than just us and our questionable "civilizations". I cannot thank you enough for your writing, for the comforts of resonance and inspiration, but I imagine you know already, you have your own Asha-whisperers who keep you saner, wiser, more attuned to a reality beyond our lizard-brain fears. L'chaim and Mazel tov!!
