The shingles vaccine really does pack a wallop (although I've been told shingles is FAR WORSE) I hope you are turning the corner.
I recently became a paid subscriber to Maggie Smith's newsletter too and agree - by becoming privy to her revisions, my writing or at least approach to writing is all the better!
Hi, Sarah! Yes, I am turning the corner today. Thank you! And also, yes, shingles is far worse. I had a friend laid up by it before the pandemic and it went on FOR WEEKS. So horrible.
I'm so glad to hear you're also a subscriber to Maggie's newsletter. The way she unpacks her writing is so useful and moving, I think.
Thank you for sharing your cats and treehouse. I browsed my way here from your reply to Cheryl Strayed’s Oldster questionnaire, and I look forward to reading more of your thoughts on integrity. No better place to ride out side effects than in a treehouse!
The man in that movie---Daniel Day-Lewis---finds that a bit of sickness MAKES HIM MORE CREATIVE.......Whatever sent you to the Tree House---------This is a most delightful pos!t
Didn't he play a designer in that one? I didn't see it. I think because it seemed like part of the story was him being a misogynist prick. (and I get enough of those in real life) But if you recommend it, then perhaps I need to check it out.
Oh, and I forgot--good for you braving the shingles vaccine. I had shingles when I was in my early 30's. It was DREADFUL and actually much less frightening than when most "older" folks get it. So, better the vaccine!
Asha, this is lovely. I have ALWAYS wanted to live in a treehouse!! And you had the treehouse of my dreams as a child!! I mean, really, how wonderful!! Thank you for putting these pictures in my head!

I'm so glad you're here! Welcome!
This is great!
Thank you, Nancy!
Your tree house is lovely! As are your cats. :) Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you, Jan! I'm finally all better now.
Asha! Have you seen the movie Phantom Thread?

That treehouse was truly one of the most wonderful, magical my dad ever did. I was grateful then, grateful now.
