Me. Also the cabin.

Hi, friends. When we were last together, I told you I was taking vacation for a couple of weeks to build a small cabin on the land my son and I purchased together. I thought I’d only be MIA from the newsletter for that first week, but I’m still hard at it.

I’m pushing to get as far as I can before I have to go back to my full-time job on Monday. So, as we used to say when everyone only had a handful of channels, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week. Until then, here are some progress photos from the build.

And now we’ve got A FLOOR!

We’re headed up, up, up!

Those cross-braces are called purlins. Next comes framing out the dormers and end walls, including windows and doors.

I’m so grateful for the help of friends and this amazing kid. However far I get before Monday is all due to them.
